Dr Claire Rachelson
Hi! My name is Dr. Claire Rachelson, and I am thrilled that you have found me.
A bit about my background: I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder. My love for animals has taken me around the globe, and in 2011, I graduated with my Veterinary Science degree from the renowned University of Sydney.
Over the years, I've worked in various capacities, including emergency care, general practice, and shelter medicine. In 2016, after working in a large, multi-doctor 24-hour facility in the Washington, DC area, I moved back to Colorado with my family and have since called Denver my home.
Having personally experienced the benefits of acupuncture, I was eager to incorporate this into my practice. In 2017, I became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist through CuraCore and recently completed additional training in Integrative Rehabilitation, also through CuraCore.
I am now excited to embark on a new chapter in my career, transitioning from full-time general practice to bringing acupuncture and rehabilitation directly to pets in the comfort of their own homes.
I enjoy working with pets at all stages of their lives and believe that integrative therapies can significantly enhance their quality of life. I have witnessed the benefits of these therapies in rebuilding strength and function after surgery, managing chronic illnesses, and helping senior pets stay mobile and comfortable in their golden years.
Each pet is unique, and I am dedicated to creating individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals, ensuring they thrive. As your pet's best advocate, I will strive to listen and empower you to understand their condition and actively participate in their therapies.
When I am not working with your pets, I remain active as a relief veterinarian in Denver and the surrounding areas. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband Joe and our two wonderful daughters. I love cooking, traveling, and, let's be honest, a good nap.
I am so excited to meet you and your animal companions!
